What is a K-1 Fiancé Visa?
The K-1 fiancé visa allows U.S. citizens to bring their foreign fiancé to the United States for the purpose of marriage. Once your fiancé enters the U.S. on the K-1 visa, you must marry within 90 days.
After marriage, your spouse can apply for adjustment of status to become a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) without leaving the country.
